Giving Back
Strong, supported, sustainable communities are a core focus for the Acumen Strata team.
Rainbow Families
In 2021 Acumen volunteered at the Rainbow Families Christmas celebration and funded the provision of lunch for over 200 children and their parents.
Rainbow Families Inc is the peak organisation supporting LGBTQ+ parents and their children, a not-for-profit organisation that works to reduce discrimination and disadvantage faced by children of LGBTQ+ parents so they can thrive and shine and is a support network for parents and carers, as well as future parents and carers.
Queer Prom
In 2022 Acumen strata is supporting young people in the inner west as one of the sponsors of the Queer Prom, a youth week event. Queer Prom is a free event for for young LGBTQI+ people and allies from across the Inner West to dance the night away at Queer Prom. Coordinated by the inner west council’s LGBTQ working group, it will be a fun and safe environment to celebrate and connect with fellow members of the rainbow community.
Christmas In Pyrmont
Acumen Strata donates funding annually to Christmas in Pyrmont, which is an annual street fair organised by Pyrmont and Ultimo residents.
Christmas in Pyrmont celebrates the festive season and promotes the sense of community, while raising funds for – and awareness of – local charities. In this way it also publicises community groups and promotes local businesses.
